Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Payroll Processor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing payroll for our organization accurately and timely. The Payroll Processor will work closely with the human resources department to ensure that all employee information is correct, and payroll is processed in accordance with company policies and state and federal regulations.
Responsibilities:
Collect and verify employee time sheets, attendance records, and other payroll-related information
Calculate and process payroll accurately and timely for all employees
Ensure that all payroll deductions, such as taxes, insurance, and benefits, are accurate and in compliance with state and federal regulations
Prepare and distribute paychecks or direct deposits to employees
Address and resolve employee inquiries related to payroll in a timely and professional manner
Prepare reports on payroll expenses, taxes, and other related data
Ensure payroll records are maintained in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with human resources department to ensure employee information is accurate and up-to-date
Keep abreast of changes in payroll regulations and compliance requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing
Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements
Proficient in payroll software, such as ADP or Paychex
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong time management and organizational skills
